Z's a tiny faerie too!

I landed right after and before it started raining, just perfect!
I recently had the pleasure to perform for my friend and her family. Her daughter, Z, is a RIOT! She totally knows about my human life, that I have a roommate, she knows my human name, etc and fully believes it all to be part of my faerie disguise. So.Awesome. It was so much fun spending the morning with her. At one point our little birthday princess exclaimed "this is the best day of my life". *heart melting*

Z continued her 3rd birthday extravaganza by going to Disneyland a few days after her party, while there she firmly told one facepainter "You're not as good as Miss B".

Sassy!

Copy Cat

I was out of glitter, so the faeries sent me more. This is all that's left of a huge bag o' glitter *giggle*, it made me so happy I just had to paint!

My own Creation:

I copied this one right off the face of a fire faerie, originally painted by the queen faerie herself. I did pretty good. I feel way more comfortable with those little fancy swipes that I learned from face painting class. A fellow at the grocery store later asked if it was a tattoo.

This one is my favorite of the day. So fun! Feels like the circus.
Imitation is the sincerest of flattery...

Late Night Puppy Pick Up

My life is amazing. I just went across the street to pick up a huge box full of ballooons, costumes, corsets, adorable stuffed animal puppies glitter and facepaint. Can this be real life? I feel overwhelmingly lucky to be a faerie, and at the same time I feel like I've always been a faerie you know, ... why wouldn't I be picking up puppies at midnight? That's normal.

So, that's cool.

You'd think all this puppy fever would have me all wound up to get a puppy of my own. But that is not the case. Because I'm holding out for a pig. ;)

Goodnight Neverland!

Sometimes I paint with Eyeshadow

I have a hard time keeping paint on my face, especially when it's super hot. I love to make my face up with fun eye shadows, jewels and glitter. I often times have mommies ask if I painted on my eyeshadow. My secret? Cream base. You can buy pretty much all your eye shadow at the dollar store (buy fun colors!). If you apply a cream base and press your eyeshadow powder into it, it'll last all day and look amazing!! Try blending 2 or 3 colors together! I usually work it up to 5...hehehe. Make a rainbow on your eyes!

I love this technique on those long 3 show days because you can gently rub over your shadow between shows for a quick refresh to your look. Add some self stick jewels from Joanne's (or and craft store, about $2.99 for like 100), glitter and gloss....ta-da! Faerie!

You can also spice up your eye liner. I added simple dots below mine this time for a fun twist! Yay!

I'm a mixologist!

I mix my own glitter. Yay for bling!

This made for a perfect afternoon...

Today was really great, well aside from my waking up to my alarm then promptly falling deeply back to sleep only to wake 4 minutes before I had to be 7 blocks away. Besides that, it was a perfect morning ...for a jog and I realized that sometimes it is acceptable to just be late. Not a lot late, always with good intention and an honest want to be on time. Everything worked out just fine. Even so, I jogged my booty off this morning, I even passed the block I was going to by a few dozen strides before I realized it. I got to spend the day roaming my charming little nook of a city with a borrowed toddler (aka babysitting). My best friend, a new friend, a dear friend and the best women of my family speckled my afternoon. I had soup for breakfast, ice cream for lunch and tacos with spinach dip for dinner. Maintenace painted our front door and I blew glitter all over it.

Then I painted.

The anime eyes are all Steffie, I loves her.

The butterfly is for lunchtime.

The rocketship? We were watching Planet while I painted. So yeah.

GoodNight.
